This graph shows PHP market share, on worldwide internet web sites.
PHP is found on 34,30% of web sites, stable from last month. PHP market share is stable. ASP reached a maximum, and is now stable too. PHP is the most used technology on internet.
PHP version distribution[^]
This graphic displays the market share of each PHP version. The blue graph represents
the sum of all preceding versions. PHP 4.3.11 and beyond represent now 51% of all PHP installations. When a PHP application supports PHP 4.3.9 and better, they are functionnal on more than 75% of all PHP installations.
PHP major version distribution[^]
This graphic represents the PHP major version distributions : 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
PHP 5 almost reach the 11% barrier. PHP 4 is declining. Besides PHP 4, all other major version is negligeable.
PHP 4/5 middle version distribution[^]
This graphic represents PHP middle version distribution for PHP 4 and 5.
PHP 4.3 remains number one version in september, outranking PHP 4.4 by a fraction of percentage : PHP 4.3 will slip to 2nd postion during october, and this may already the case today. PHP 5.1 has now a solid advance as 3rd most popular version. PHP 4.3, 4.4 and 5.1 hold 85% of the PHP market.
PHP 4.3/4 minor version distribution[^]

PHP 4.4.2 is still ranking #1, but is sharply declining, apparently giving place to PHP 4.4.4. Most of the ranking is identical to last month's, except for the rapid progression of PHP 4.4.4.

PHP 5.1.2 and 5.0.4 keep their rank, but show some weakness in their positions. Users seems to be awaiting PHP 5.2.
